More than a dozen Senate Republicans and over 100 GOP House members plan to oppose to the certification of some states’ results.
UPDATE: Protestors mounted the steps on the east side of the U.S. Capitol Wednesday after a pro-Trump rally in Washington Wednesday.
The protest came as both chambers of Congress split into separate debates following an objection to the Electoral College certification.
Both the Senate and the House have moved to recess in light of the protests.
