Gov. Whitmer, Mayor of Michigan, tells Michiganians to rethink their Thanksgiving plans.

In the video, Gov. Whitmer says, “Thanksgiving is going to look different this year. It just has to. Medical experts across the country strongly recommend that we do not host Thanksgiving with people outside of our own households. I know this will be hard, but we cannot afford for people to head to a family member, friend, or loved one house for Thanksgiving, contract the virus, and bring it back to their communities and their homes. The more people we have in our homes talking, eating, drinking, hugging, yelling at the Lions, the higher the risk of catching or spreading this virus.”

Here we have another Governor over-stretching their powers. Remember a few months ago when she locked down her state and didn’t allow people to do anything while her husband was out on his boat. ‘The rules are thee, not me.”

Her whole explanation of trying to stop the spread doesn’t make sense. She suggested the cancellation of Thanksgiving because she doesn’t want people to bring back the virus to their homes and communities. What about people that work around other people all day? Should they stop working because they might bring back the virus to their homes and communities? People will say, “Oh, but they are wearing a face mask!” Well, why is that we were told that we have to wear a face mask and social distance because it will “help stop the spread,” but the cases continue to rise? I will repeat this: Why does the government believe it has the right to tell the American People what they can do in their homes or how many people are allowed in their homes?

Gov, Whitmer suggested, “So let’s created, let’s make a plan for this Thanksgiving, get a Zoom call organized with all your out of town relatives. Send them photos of your Thanksgiving meals and maybe record it, so you have it keep safe of something you can look back on.”

Why wasn’t she making suggestions like this during the George Floyd riots earlier this year? Gov. Whitmer allowed BLM, ANTIFA, and other organized groups to riot, destroy property, and burn down buildings for weeks. There was no social distancing during these riots. In fact, the people were literally shoulder to shoulder. Here we have another Gov. that allows the radical left do whatever they want but won’t let families celebrate Thanksgiving together, or even go to church.
